The opening reception of Mimesis 2012 is on Friday, September 7th, from 6pm - 9pm, at 311 West Martin St. in downtown Raleigh. Please join us and enjoy the show, and reserve some time to explore other nearby art galleries that are also open late.
Juror’s Talk with Pamela Pecchio and Sara Botwick
Join Sara Botwick, show director of Mimesis 2012 and juror Pamela Pecchio for an informal discussion of contemporary photography today and of the images chosen for inclusion in the Mimesis exhibition. Pamela Pecchio, juror of Mimesis 2012 and Assistant Professor of Art at University of Virginia will discuss a few select pieces and how they represent important contemporary trends in photography and how the selected pieces come together to form a unified whole of artistic expression.
